Dhondup Wangchen, a Tibetan filmmaker was sentenced to 6 years in prison by the chinese government in 2008 for views expressed in his films.

Join Amnesty International Group 39 to watch the film “Leaving Fear Behind” to learn about Dhondup Wangchen and the human rights situation in Tibet.  Discussion and actions, including writing letters to support his release, to follow after the film. Join Amnesty International Pittsburgh Group 39 (our general community group) for a night of spoken word, poetry, short films and other activities to learn more about human rights cases and issues the local group works on and how you can get involved. Non-members are welcome to find out more about what types of work we do and how to join up! Current members are invited to welcome new members and reconnect with other members. Who Decides Who Lives, PADP Forum, May 30, 2012

Please join the Pennsylvanians For Alternatives to the Death Penalty (PADP) for a public forum on jury selection in death penalty cases.
